Sophie Leah is an Oberlin College & Conservatory student in her final year studying Double Bass Performance and Cinema Studies. Fresh off of a summer in artistic and personnel management at Aspen Music Festival, she looks to continue her pursuit of a career in arts management. Between her high standards for excellence and warm but assertive leadership style, she has seen burgeoning success in the addition of administration to performing.
She has worked in stage management for productions of L'Amant Anonyme and La Finta Giardiniera, and continues working in Oberlin’s Concert Production as both Stage Crew Supervisor and an Ensemble Manager.
She has engaged in multiple facets of the performing arts, both in and out of the spotlight. She has performed onstage in productions of Into the Woods (Florinda) and Legally Blonde (Margot), but the majority of her experience comes from pit orchestra, having played in over 15 productions. Some recent highlights include The Rocky Horror Show (Bass), Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 (Bass), and Sweeney Todd (Violin 1).

To observe and take actions that elevate the performance experience for the performer — and by extension the presenter and the audience. To maintain high standards and expectations of quality and consideration.
